Within the dynamic realm of business enhancement lies a twofold requirement. It is the entrepreneurial spirit, one that employs techniques tailored to the unique needs of every endeavour, and the ability to:
'Enhance what Exists!'
A resounding mandate the latter echoes through almost every application, demanding an approach that breathes new life into a business that has yet to realize its full potential. Whether it is to guide a fledgling Startup from uncertainty to success or to assist a Mature Business in scripting its 'next chapter,' this approach remains the same — meticulously organizing what are often readily available resources within a process that brings the vision to fruition.
But where are those resources? More often than not, they exist in plain view. The apparent lack of space in the above example triggered a specific proposal for that establishment. The plan was for this business (a small, neighbourhood building supply centre) to set aside any little space that it could find for a display kiosk.
Then, as patrons walk by this kiosk, a video loop will introduce them to the speed, efficiency, quality, and creative designs available from the local Prefab Building Community. Interest piqued, the next step would be to sit with a product-design representative and, in turn, have the Supply Centre's off-premise 'Tiny or Laneway Home' Manufacturing Facility produce the desired result.
Whether a structural-panel stack, 'close-in' package, or a completed, turn-key building, this result would be delivered directly from a production site to the building site without the Building Supply Centre ever having to take possession.
Made possible by a Joint Venture License arrangement with an established panel plant and prefab building manufacturer, the Supply Centre would gain a significant revenue stream with a minuscule capital outlay (the kiosk). Furthermore, there was no related inventory carrying or holding costs, and the space the new enterprise consumed was negligible — enhancing all that existed.
